Why?

Why do so many people make 9/11 songs to this song? The subject matter isn't even close! Goodbye Blue Sky is a little bit about the Blitz of London, and mostly about a kid growing up without a dad because he died in WWII. And besides, you'd think the only major event that Americans know about this days is 9/11. There have been many things worse than 9/11, several of them done by America. Hiroshima? Nagasaki? Way worse. I mean, yes, many people died on 9/11, but was all of New York destroyed? No. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dessicated. I hardly hear anything about those. But 9/11? Every year, everyone gets so worked up about it, making movies, getting pissed off at the people who make movies, yadda yadda yadda.
Now I'm going to stop ranting and move on to the actual review.
Basically, it seemed like a concept sketch. It had an okay concept, but was not developed enough. You might want to work on the animation a bit, too- it was fairly crude. Oh, and the beginning did not seem to have any relation to the subject matter. Whatsoever.

And for the record, I am American. I am not an anarchist or a whiny idiot. I just hate it when idiots whine about things they shouldn't be whining about.

You're neglecting all of the tragedy that followed 9/11. Not only were families ripped apart, but there were many, many more deaths in the ensuing conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Besides, I know what the original context of the song was. But it's a song about the fear and confusion after a country has been attacked, and the scars it leaves in the aftermath, which is a sentiment that could really apply to any disaster, be it 9/11, Hiroshima/Nagasaki, the Iran/Iraq war, the Blitz on London, the Waco crisis, school shootings, or any of the other violence that faces the world all the time. Obviously, Hiroshima and Nagasaki did have much higher tolls than the 9/11 attacks, but this one was just the one I was most familiar with, so that's what I made the cartoon about.

However, I am kind of a whiny anarchist myself, so we might never agree. Oh well.

Could you at least spell it right?

It was okay, but if you want something to do really well, then put more time into it. Maybe you could try it again, and read the lyrics and try to follow them (and do more than just stick figures). Not an amazing movie, but at least it's original and not spam like half the flashes in the portal are these days.

umm...

It's okay, I'm just not sure if the guy is supposed to have a body or not.

Well...

When I saw this in the portal, I instantly thought of 'Paint it Black.' Awesome song. Now get a better, more fitting topic.

At least i chose a nice piece of music right? Not fitting topic? Not sure i get what you mean, obviously my first creation couldn't actually "worth" such a song but i put it in there anyway
Thanx for bothering, maybe the sequel will be better

Sweet!

Beatles rock, man! Far out! It could use a little more animation, though.

Sweet!

This is probably one of my favorite flashes on the site. Great job, I like the hand-drawn bricks-they make it look really trippy, which is perfect for this song. I gave 1 point off because of the lip-syncing-it wasn't that big of a problem, and it was overall quite good, but when it got to the skeleton part, it kind of bugged me.

Goodbye Blue Sky

um.....that was an incorrect interpretation of the song the song is actually about a kid growing up without a father in post-WWII times. But you get extra points for doing a pink floyd thing.
